How AutoTap works

People by nature like to lean against stable objects like walls, tables and cabinets. This principle helped the AutoTap design the most convenient way to control a faucet and this is how it works:

With the faucet always on, the AutoTap restricts the water flow. As one leans or stands close to the sink cabinet, a gentle touch of the knee on the surface of the cabinet door causes a sensor to transmit a signal.

Inside the cabinet, the AutoTap receives this signal and automatically turns on the water. To stop the flow, just release the pressure on the door and the water stops instantly.

1) By nature, people tend to lean against stable objects. Leaning gives us a sense of stability and also reduces pressure on our legs.

3) While standing close or leaning against the counter edge, just gently touch the cabinet door with your knee and AutoTap turns the water on for you.

2) To reduce pressure off our legs, we naturally lean against the counter top while using the sink.
